Tinybird is now available in AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney), our second region in the Asia-Pacific area following the recent launch of ap-east-1 (Hong Kong).

If you're running workloads that serve users across Australia, New Zealand, or Southeast Asia, this region puts your data and compute significantly closer to them. Less distance means lower query latency at the edge and faster ingestion from local sources.

For teams with AWS infrastructure already in ap-southeast-2 or compliance requirements that mandate data residency in Australia, you can now run Tinybird without routing data through US or European regions.

## What you get

- **API base URL:** `https://api.ap-southeast-2.aws.tinybird.co`
- **Sub-second queries** over billions of rows, resolved in Sydney
- **Data residency** in Australia for local compliance requirements
- **Full feature parity:** Kafka and S3 connectors, Events API, real-time materialized views, and low latency API endpoints
