We started Tinybird because we had a problem. Dealing with large amounts of data is hard and, as the amount of data grows, it gets exponentially harder. We thought we had enough experience to create a product to fix that problem.

Tinybird is a SaaS product to create real-time analytics APIs over large amounts of data. And it's deeply focused on improving the developer experience.

Long story short, after some months, the list of clients using our product is growing but our team isn't growing quite as fast. And as you might guess, that is starting to hurt, and that's why we are looking for someone to help us.

We are a team of 9 with extensive experience building and growing companies (and sometimes selling them), all of us have a technical background. We like simplicity and speed. We believe data-driven real-time applications have the potential to change entire industries.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking experienced SaaS Account Executives to drive our sales efforts in the UK, and EU. Until now our sales have been purely founder driven and, while we have been pretty successful considering none of us had commercial experience, we feel now is the time to take Tinybird to the next stage. We are looking to kick-start our Sales team and identify, develop and close reference opportunities around our core use-cases.

Ours is a technical product, so you will ideally have some technical background/aptitude and experience working with or selling to technical teams. If SQL queries don’t scare you we *definitely* want to hear from you, but as long as you are curious to learn the most versatile and useful language in the world, you should reach out.

What will you be doing?

  • Help develop and refine a repeatable, scalable sales motion.
  • Define the sales cycle, from first touch through closing and successful onboarding.
  • Develop and run the entire sales process, spearheading the effort around every opportunity and rallying the team as needed in order to demo, quote, negotiate and close business.
  • Setting up and managing pre-sale POCs with prospects whenever appropriate.
  • Proactively source new leads and new business opportunities, generating, managing and forecasting a sales pipeline in your region.
  • Working closely with the founders and your colleagues to articulate and help fine-tune our message and drive our sales campaigns, improve our sales process from lead sourcing to deal negotiation, and communicate feedback from the prospects and identify opportunities to improve the product and/or marketing content.
  • Presenting our product and articulating its benefits to senior executives and data teams in client meetings, anticipating, managing and influencing prospect objections.
  • Building strong and long lasting relationships with the teams at the accounts as well as ensuring a high level of responsiveness during and after closing the opportunity.

  • We are a fully remote company, and not just because of COVID19, we have worked like that for many years. All of our previous companies were remote friendly companies.
  • We will provide you with up to €2400 to get the right setup at home if you need it. If you need more, just ask.

What do you bring to the team?

  • 4+ years minimum experience in a SaaS, quota-carrying sales role, ideally in data, analytics or infrastructure tech.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about technology and Data, and about how it can help businesses.
  • Tech savviness and quick to learn, use and demonstrate a technical product as well as to articulate its value proposition.
  • Driven to excel and to meeting and exceeding targets, often autonomously, in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excitement about the role and about joining a deeply technical team that is driven to change the way Big Data Products are built and to help build out the Sales function.
  • Proven track record of CRM hygiene, transparency and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An understanding of the Data Warehousing and Analytics technology space and key players.
  • A history of running the complete sales cycle from qualification to close.

Compensation

  • A competitive package, including Stock Options.
  • 23 days of holiday a year (plus your birthday and public holidays), but who's counting.
