What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who wants to work on low level stuff. We run a pretty large database cluster and we need someone to help with the low level components, most of the are close to the infra and the database management. Some examples are our ingestion systems, job processors and so on.

We are ingesting 4Gb/s, 17M rows/s just in public clusters and that's not exactly easy, that's why we need someone like you.

The ideal candidate wishlist:

• You have Python and C++ experience.
• You have systems debugging skills
• You have experience with high-performance distributed systems and you know how different pieces work together, what to monitor, understand bottlenecks and so on.

You worked with any kind of OLAP databases and/or have experience in large data systems


Other desired skills:

• You are fluent in English. If you speak Spanish, Russian, or Mandarin also, that would be amazing and it would make us all wonder what we have done with our lives.
• You communicate well in writing. This is important not only because we favor asynchronous work but also because you will have to write documentation, guides, and the occasional blog post.
• Ideally, someone who participate as part of the oncall team, to understand not only our product, but also the issues our clients face.
• Ideally, you are located somewhere in Europe or US east coast so there are overlapping working hourshigh-performance.

• We are a fully remote company, all of our previous companies were remote-friendly companies, and we intend to remain a remote company.
• We give you up to 2400€ to get the right setup at home if you need it.
• We are just starting up so your work will impact everything we do. We also believe in full transparency, and you will always know what is going on.

Compensation

• A competitive package, including Stock Options.
• Up to €180k depending on experience.
• 22 days of holidays a year (plus your birthday and public holidays)
• Freedom to work from wherever suits you best. Closer to UTC timezones works best but not a requirement
