About Tinybird

At Tinybird, we help developers build massively scalable products on top of streaming data using skills they already have. Companies that use Tinybird ingest millions of rows of data per second and power their analytical applications via low-latency, high-concurrency SQL based APIs.

Our founding team has a combined experience of over 60 years building cloud and data intensive products serving organizations all over the world, and we are backed by great team members and investors who have built or are building some of the most relevant developer tools out there, like Nat Friedman (GitHub CEO), Nicolas Dessaigne (Algolia co-founder) or Guillermo Rauch (Vercel CEO), among many others.

We’re a remote company, with over 50 birdies across many different time zones, and we value asynchronous work, open-mindedness, accountability, transparency, and leaving your ego at the door. We want to achieve great things together, and we believe that we can. We have a diverse, talented team where everyone feels respected, which we believe is the key to a better work environment, to making better products and taking better decisions, with a broader and more inclusive approach to everything we do. We have a deep interest in you as a person!

How will you help us achieve that goal? Well, we have some ideas, but we also want to find opinionated folk that will bring new ideas and challenge our assumptions. Here’s a few things we are working on right now, so you get an idea of what it looks like today:

  • We are writing technical content about real time analytics, data architecture and the open source tools that underpin our products, here’s an example You can help us by writing about your knowledge and experience in the data world, appealing to all levels, from beginners to experts, from VPs to Developers.
  • We are beginning to engage with various communities in the data world as well as building our own. You can help us by finding new communities, engaging with members, and discovering how we can best represent Tinybird in those communities.

  • Listen to, and engage with, our customers, community & market
  • Stay at the leading-edge of the data ecosystem
  • Being the voice of developers inside the company and into our community

What you bring

  • Strong understanding of the data ecosystem & market
  • SQL skills, we don’t need a PhD, just enough to be dangerous
  • For technologies & languages, flexibility is key, we’d prefer you were productive in many rather than an expert in one, we’d like to see familiarity with a range of languages, cloud services, data tooling, etc.
  • You’ll need to love communicating & engaging with people; you’ll have all the opportunities you want to get out there and mingle
  • Some understanding of doing frontend bits is a plus, but we’re looking for a dedicated frontend engineer who can really make things shine (we’re open to recommendations!)
