Remote · Ideally US East, GMT or CET

At Tinybird, we enable developers and data teams to build real-time data products at any scale. Engineering teams who use Tinybird achieve much faster development velocity, which means new products / features get to market faster. In addition, our engineering team has done an amazing job architecting our product in a way that allows Tinybird customers to deliver a blazing fast user experience in a cost-effective way.

Our founding team has deep expertise building cloud and data intensive products serving organizations all over the world, and we are backed by great team members and investors who have built or are building some of the most relevant developer tools out there (including the Founders of GitHub, Algolia, and Vercel amongst others.

Being a remote-first company with over 40 birdies from different nationalities, we believe our strength lies in cultivating a diverse environment. Everyone at Tinybird plays a role in forming and executing our strategy, and we truly believe our globally diverse workforce is the key to unlocking the most value for our customers.

What are we looking for?

Real-time analytics changes how companies operate: when you reduce by orders of magnitude the time it takes to understand and react to how your business unfolds, new opportunities and ways to operate naturally emerge.

Tinybird doesn’t just make realtime analytics over huge amounts of data possible: it makes it easy and it makes it fast. And we want to equip and inspire developers all over the world to build their data products successfully with Tinybird.

We are building our Developer Relations team and we are looking for native english speakers to be part of it. If you love to learn and help others learn about new technologies, if you like writing, presenting and communicating, if you know what makes developers tick, if you are used to interacting with other developers across development communities, events and/or open source projects and believe you can help us build a community around realtime data and Tinybird, we would love to talk to you.

And if you are already part of a development community, even more!

What will you be doing?

We believe that the best marketing is putting our audience first and creating value for them at every interaction.

For that reason, aside from building a deep understanding of Tinybird, our users and customers, their use cases, and the value we provide to data and engineering teams, you will:

  • create content in our blog around Realtime, Clickhouse and/ir other databases, Data Analytics, Data Ops practices as well as Tinybird how-to’s, and anything else that provides real value to developers.
  • You’ll also help us develop content such as guides and courses with the objective of improving our audience’s understanding and know-how around analytics.
  • You’ll help build our community by driving public technical channels around Clickhouse, sharing publicly our internal technical learnings, animating regular calls or live events, running live sessions or recording videos.
  • You’ll identify events for Tinybird to speak in or sponsor.
  • You’ll work closely with the product team to understand new Tinybird features in-depth as well as to keep them up to date on conversations with developers, feature requests, trends that you see in the community, etc.

What do you bring to the team?

  • Development experience. Ideally building data intensive products or infrastructure, around SQL, Data Analytics, Data Ops practices or Clickhouse. However it could also be around web development, streaming analytics or other.
  • You are a native english speaker (or so close to it that a native english speaker can't tell the difference)
  • A genuine curiosity and interest in Data products and or analytics.
  • Good writing skills. Ideally, experience writing compelling content for the web.
  • Good communication/presentation skills. You are comfortable speaking in front of a crowd and can keep it interesting.

The following would be highly desirable also:

  • Any type of experience in community organizing, especially around code/tech.
  • Demonstrable participation in existing development communities, such as open-source projects or other.

Some bits about the way we work

  • We are just starting up so your work will impact everything we do. We also believe in full transparency and you will always know what is going on.
  • No politics.
  • Here you have our company principles.

  • A competitive package, including Stock Options.
  • 23 days of holiday a year (plus your birthday and public holidays), but who's counting.
