The Opportunity

Tinybird is looking for a Marketing Designer to work on creative projects that will turn heads and get people talking. As a developer-obsessed company, design plays a pivotal role in how we drive awareness and build an engaged community. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of brand-centric projects for Tinybird, from our brand standards to campaigns, events, IRL experiences, digital experiences and applications. You’ll be able to design immersive experiences that focus on brand and product storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Content, Product Marketing, Demand Generation to transform briefs into vibrant visual campaigns across formats and platforms, while maintaining brand consistency throughout;
  • Take responsibility for the quality and execution of design throughout all phases of a project, across a broad range of digital and sometimes physical touch-points;
  • Design immersive experiences for developers, using visuals, animations, and content to engage developers and tell the story of Tinybird;
  • Own our website design and identity - find new ways to visualize and bring to life the power of Tinybird;
  • Expand Tinybird’s evolving brand, by creating visual identity and design systems.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of relevant design experience in technical and product-driven companies;
  • Strong skills in graphic design, brand design, typography and layout - are comfortable working across different mediums and crafts; excited about experimenting with new technology;
  • Experience working on virtual experiences, large-scale conferences, trade shows, and various IRL experiences for a leading brand;
  • Strong sense of design principles, storytelling and attention to detail;
  • Are persuasive and humble in explaining your work, process, and decisions and experienced at facilitating stakeholders to advance the project as well as design quality;
  • Ability to assess a brief, manage deadlines and prioritize
  • A strong strategic acumen for building leading brands in a fast paced, global facing environment;
  • Curiosity and passion to learn new things - we work by iterating fast, and embracing feedback;
  • Prefer experience working with marketing teams and marketing websites previously - which comes with an understanding of marketing concepts such as conversion, analytics, A/B testing, lead generation and user journeys.

  • Work remotely. Freedom to work from wherever suits you best. For this role, we’re ideally looking for candidates in the United States and Western European time zones.
  • Flexible office hours. At Tinybird we do not have fixed office hours. You manage your own time.
  • Equipment of your choice. You get to choose. The maximum budget for it is $2,600.
  • Paid travel. Whenever this is needed and agreed between the two parties.

  2. A skills based interview (1hr)
  3. A final interview with one or two of the founders (1-1.5hr).
