Jobs at Tinybird

Marketing Lead

Remote · Ideally US East or GMT or CET

Tinybird enables developers and data teams to build Realtime Data Products at any scale. We help companies ingest millions of rows per second and power their analytical applications via low-latency, high-concurrency SQL based APIs.

We are deeply focused on improving the developer experience of building highly scalable data applications over any amount of Data. There is a huge opportunity to change how Data Products are developed across different industries and we intend to seize it.

Our founding team has a combined experience of over 60 years building cloud and data intensive products serving organisations all over the world, and we are backed by investors who have built or are building some of the most relevant developer tools out there, like Nat Friedman (GitHub CEO), Nicolas Dessaigne (Algolia co-founder) or Guillermo Rauch (Vercel CEO), among many others.

We believe in equal opportunities and in a workplace which is safe, diverse, and inclusive. So don’t be discouraged if you don’t see yourself reflected in our team page and do apply if everything else in this offer sounds like you could fit: we are committed to building a diverse organisation. We truly believe it is the key to a better work environment, to making better products and taking better decisions, with a broader and more inclusive approach to everything we do.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced SaaS marketer, with a background in product marketing for products built for engineering teams, to develop and drive Tinybird’s marketing strategy. Until now our marketing efforts have been founder-driven. We are growing fast, so it’s time for someone to bootstrap our marketing team.

Ours is a technical product, so you will ideally have some technical background/aptitude and experience working with technical teams. If SQL queries don’t scare you we *definitely* want to hear from you. But as long as you are curious to learn and proactive, you should reach out.

If you are driven and resourceful, if you are excited about joining a startup as an early member of the marketing team, if you want to have a big impact on a company’s future, this may be the right opportunity for you.

What will you be doing?

  • Build a deep understanding of Tinybird, our users and customers, their use cases, and the value we provide to data and engineering teams
  • Develop an inbound, content and community driven marketing strategy
  • Execute that strategy, working closely with the founders and engineering team
  • Figure out what resources are needed, internal and external, to support your work
  • Figure out how the marketing organization needs to be staffed and grow in order to do that
  • Support the sales team’s outbound efforts with content and resources

What do you bring to the team?

  • 7+ years minimum experience in a SaaS, ideally in data or analytics
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about data and about how it can help businesses.
  • Proactive learner
  • Skilled at articulating the value proposition of technical products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment
  • Excited about joining a deeply technical team that is driven to change the data products are built
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy for the day to day work and needs of data and engineering teams
  • Experience building and maintaining strong marketing programs in support of growth

Some bits about the way we work

  • We are a fully remote company, and not just because of COVID19, we have worked like that for many years. All of our previous companies were remote friendly companies.
  • We will provide you with up to €2400 to get the right setup at home if you need it. If you need more, just ask.
  • We are just starting up so your work will impact everything we do. We also believe in full transparency and you will always know what is going on.
  • No politics.
  • Here you have our company principles.

  • A competitive package, including Stock Options.
  • 23 days of holiday a year (plus your birthday and public holidays), but who's counting.
  • Freedom to work from wherever suits you best, with some small preference for New York, London, Amsterdam, or Madrid.
