Base Pipes now visible in Tinybird Forward, CLI improvements and more

Base Pipes in Forward

Until now, Pipes without any defined TYPE weren't visible in the UI. You could create and use them, but there were no dedicated pages to explore them. This is an important improvement because these Pipes are often used as reusable transformations that other Pipes can call.

Watch Tinybird Local while running

You can now watch the logs of Tinybird Local while it's running with tb local start --watch. This helps you see startup progress and debug issues.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • [Forward]: Better error messages and specific suggestions for Tinybird Local in the CLI.
  • [Forward]: Shared Data Sources now show the target Workspace names in the UI instead of the Workspace IDs.
  • [All]: CSV ingestion now quarantines rows with integer overflow (for example 1234 in an Int8 column) instead of silently wrapping values to incorrect numbers.
